Visionary artist and filmmaker David Lynch died on January 20, 2024. (Bob Uecker died the same day. Talk about tough days.) Now, ahead of the one-year anniversary of Lynch’s passing to a realm both wonderful and strange, Milwaukee Film is prepping an incredible tribute. From January 9 through the 14th, all 18 episodes of Lynch’s monumental and career-encapsulating 2017 Twin Peaks: The Return series will screen at the Oriental Theatre.
Incredible indeed. Also incredible: Dougie. On. The. Big. Screen.
“We’re filling in what we missed in our 2025 David Lynch Retrospective; the Twin Peaks universe’s cinematic final season is available to us for the first time in cinemas,” Milwaukee Film’s Programming Director Kerstin Larson says in a press release. “Immerse yourself in Lynch’s carefully crafted universe and extended meditation on death and aging, good and evil, power and presence; purchase a pass or individual tickets for screening blocks of 2-3 episodes each.”
Click HERE for more info on those tickets and passes. (A full pass costs $65, btw.) Here’s a breakdown of the screenings. (Oh, and THAT episode is Part 8.)
Parts 1-3 – January 9
Parts 4-6 – January 10
Parts 7-8 – January 10
Parts 9-11 – January 11
Parts 12-14 – January 11
Parts 15-16 – January 11
Parts 17-18 – January 14
So yeah, clear your calendars from January 9-14, 2025. Er, we mean 2026. What year is this?
