Last Monday, PrideFest announced Blondie and GGOOLLDD would be closing out the weekend’s festivities with a June 12 Henry Maier Festival Park performance. Today brings news that actress, comedian, and impassioned ally Sarah Silverman will take the Miller Lite Oasis stage Friday, June 10 to headline PrideFest’s opening night. The veteran stand-up, author, activist, and The Sarah Silverman Program star will be accompanied by a cast of yet-to-be-named comedians for a show billed as “Sarah Silverman & Friends.” It will be Silverman’s first Milwaukee performance since she came to the Riverside Theater in March of 2011.

Tickets for reserved seats will be available for presale (with the code EPRIDE2016) beginning Wednesday, March 23. Reserved seats—which are not required—include Friday admission to PrideFest. General admission passes to the entire weekend cost $33 (if purchased by May 10), with an option to pay extra to benefit the Plus One campaign, which supports survivors of sexual violence. If you can’t spare the extra money, PrideFest Milwaukee is still seeking volunteers.
