Milwaukee Record is working in partnership with Urban Cat Coalition to help find loving homes for area cats. Each week, we—with generous sponsorship from Skilos, A Family Pet Store—plan to highlight a feline friend that’s currently up for adoption by naming it “Milwaukee Record’s Cat Of The Week.” This week: a chill little lady named Soraya.
Soraya and her heart-shaped nose were rescued from the streets of Milwaukee. She went to her foster home fat, squishy, and ready to deliver kittens. They were born shortly after her arrival. She was a good mom and her kittens have since been adopted. Now it’s her turn to find a home!
This lovely lady loves to purr, and she loves to be petted along her back and chin. She is often found snoozing away in a sunny spot. And she also enjoys chasing after wand toys and having a snack. This gorgeous gal is a very chill little companion.
Soraya would prefer to be the sole pet in your home. She was a wonderful protective mom and still prefers if other cats stay away. She does fine with the foster home’s small children, but she would probably prefer a home with adults only or older kids so she can relax in peace and quiet.
