Your Milwaukee Brewers are World Series Champions! And your Milwaukee students totally have off school tomorrow!
Due to a scheduled Brewers parade and rally, all Milwaukee Public Schools and district offices will be closed on Friday, October 30. No classes, no before- or after-school activities. No Milwaukee Recreation activities or programs, either, “with the exception of high school postseason athletic events.”
MPS made the announcement Thursday morning.
“As you may know, a parade is planned for downtown as well as a celebration at the lakefront. Due to impacts on operations and safety, all MPS schools and district offices will be closed Friday, October 30,” reads an email from MPS. “We recognize this may present a challenge for families. Please know we considered all options before making this decision.”
The Milwaukee Brewers Championship Celebration is scheduled for Friday. It will begin with a parade in downtown Milwaukee at 10 a.m. It will culminate with a rally at the Summerfest grounds. Find more info HERE.
