Back in March, we brought you the good news that Locust Street Festival was planning to return on Sunday, June 12 following a two year absence. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. This afternoon, Locust Street Festival organizers posted the following message on the festival’s website.

“We regret to announce that the 2022 Locust Street Festival will be cancelled. We hope to see you next year.”

The 44th annual fest was to start with a 1.8-mile Beer Run/Walk and feature more than 40 local projects playing on six outdoor stages. Arts and crafts, plenty of food and drink, and probably Sigmund Snopek would’ve also been involved. Sadly, that will have to wait until 2023.
