If you saw the new Bob Uecker documentary Ueck on opening night of the 2026 Milwaukee Film Festival, you know that it’s great. (Read our review HERE.) Co-directed by Milwaukee filmmakers Steve Farr and Michael T. Vollmann, the film both encapsulates Uecker’s long and storied career and serves as a fly-on-the-wall document of his final years. You might even say it’s a “warm, funny, perfectly pitched film”!
The doc is set to open in Marcus Theatres throughout Wisconsin on Friday, July 24. Well, screenings actually begin Thursday, July 23, but you know how film “openings” go. Which Marcus Theatres? These Marcus Theatres! (Tickets are on sale NOW.)

But that’s not all for Ueck. Throughout August and into September, Farr and Vollmann will take the film on the road for “special screenings, filmmaker Q&As (some featuring surprise guests), and definitely a cold Miller Lite toast or two to Ueck in every town.” The tour kicks off August 6 at Milwaukee’s Oriental Theatre.
