Yep, you read that correctly: Drink Wisconsinbly is holding its inaugural “Bowling With The Champ” Charity Bowling Classic on Friday, October 14 at Landmark Lanes (2220 N. Farwell Ave.), and it’ll totally feature Milwaukee Bucks icon Bobby Portis.
In keeping with the classic “Bowling With The Champ” format, Portis will bowl against Drink Wisconsinbly’s accountant and self-described bowling “ringer” Al Larson (235 average). Two-hundred general admission tickets to witness the 10-pin action are available for $10, and are on sale NOW. One-hundred $100 VIP tickets are available now, too, and include an opportunity to meet Portis, get your event t-shirt signed by him, and have your picture taken with him. Doors open at 5 p.m. (VIP folks get in at 4.) Bowling goes from 6-7:30 p.m.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will go to the Bobby Portis Foundation, which strives to “create programs and initiatives that aid single mothers throughout the Arkansas community.”
“I couldn’t be more excited to partner with Drink Wisconsinbly for the inaugural Bowling with the Champ Charity Classic,” Portis says in a press release. “To be able to raise awareness for the Bobby Portis Foundation while doing one of my favorite off-the-court hobbies is incredible.”
