It’s no secret that Jodie Foster is a huge Green Bay Packers fan. Hell, the forever-awesome actress and filmmaker even landed at #4 on our list of celebrity Packers fans. (Hmmm, we might wanna rethink Justin Timberlake at #2.) Here she is on an old Conan show:
Anyway, Jodie Foster was on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night, and you better believe she was talkin’ Packers. Well, Aaron Rodgers, specifically. You see, earlier this month, the Packers QB gave an unexpected shout-out to Foster during his virtual acceptance speech for the NFL’s Most Valuable Player award. Yes, while thanking his “off-the-field team,” Rodgers thanked Jodie Foster. Fun! And yes, this was the same acceptance speech where he revealed that he was engaged. To actress Shailene Woodley. Who is starring in the new film The Mauritanian. Which also stars…Jodie Foster.
“You see he said ‘my team,’ even though he said ‘off the field,'” Foster says to Kimmel. “That makes me a Green Bay Packer!”
Jodie Foster plays for the Packers. This is now canon. Watch the delightful exchange, which also includes a nod to Davante Adams, beginning at the 2:20 mark.
