After a historically great five-plus months of baseball, the Milwaukee Brewers are struggling. They’ve lost five straight and have dropped seven of their last 10 games. Along the way, they were swept by the hated Cardinals, who now seem likely to eek into the postseason and potentially make an annoying playoff run of their own. Times are tough, but there’s reason to be hopeful, Wisconsin. Why? Because Eddy J. Lemberger just dropped a brand new Milwaukee Brewers anthem.
You might recall that Lemberger—who is part of many pre-game mixes with football-focused jams like “I Love My Green Bay Packers” and “Aaron Rodgers Rock & Roll”—put out a basketball hype song called “Got Bucks Lust” shortly before Milwaukee’s first playoff series this spring. The Bucks responded by winning the motherfucking NBA Championship. Coincidence? Well, yeah, probably…but the song still whips ass.
This time around, Lemberger provides a baseball-based banger in the form of “We Rule This Diamond – That’s My Brew Crew.” The sub-two-minute tune seems to draw from the same well as “Got Bucks Lust,” with funky guitars, verbose lyrics, and a catchy chorus that lifts up a team that suddenly needs a boost. But you know what they say: if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Thank you, Eddy J. Lemberger. You may have just saved Milwaukee’s season. [h/t – Jared]
