Sup. I got a little maudlin (in a good way, it was great) last weekend at Mitten Fest and called a friend that I don't think I've talked to in over a decade because The Past Is Present and tl;dr we're getting together for dinner Friday. Where would you take someone in this situation? She doesn't get out much and has asked me to suggest places; I'm pescetarian but I don't think she has any dietary restrictions; and I'd like whereever we end up to be low-key/quiet. Where would you take your friend if you were in this situation? So far I have suggested Lucky Ginger, Goodkind and Strange Town. Please also respond if I am using semicolons incorrectly here thank you bye.
Chill places with fish eh? Maxie's, Third Coast Provisions, Packing House?
We settled on Goodkind but this has reminded me that I have yet to go to the Packing House and I should probably remedy that sooner rather than later.
packing house is great if you're over 60

So I'm late to the party on all fronts but just tried 4th base last night. OMG. amazeballs. Besides their regular menu you can choose something from the meat case (which had lots of fish). I choose 4 enormous shrimp stuffed with crab and they were outstanding. I'd attach a picture if I could. Staff and customers, all super friendly. Clearly many regulars. Hubby got some Jambalaya to go too.
@mkehippo414 4th Base is fun. Some of the best seafood in a dive bar setting. I agree with you on friendly staff as well. It should be noted that everything is market price there, so folks should prepare for a bit of sticker shock with the bill.
