Howdy Milwaukee!
I'm plotting an unconventional "pub crawl" that's less about bars and more about surprising places where you can grab a beer and drink it on site.
A few that come to mind:
-6am beer at Zad's or Clementine's
-a barbershop
-Lions Tooth
-Groppi's
-Wheel & Sprocket (Bay View)
-the Domes
-Whole Foods
What other spots around Milwaukee fit this vibe? I'd love to find a hardware store, laundry mat, anything quirky.
Great idea.
Uihlein Soccer Park, watch some 8 year olds play indoor soccer while you share a few pitchers.
the zoo, pour one out for Samson the gorilla
MAM, though they no longer let you drink three martinis and climb the sculptures
check out the lincoln warehouse, too. Cool stuff in there.
Not sure how frequent this happens, but go to the Riverwest Bliffert around closing time. There were a few times where I stopped in to buy something and was given a beer during the last 15-20 minutes they were open.
Y-Not II is next to a laundromat and open weird fuckin hours plus you get to answer questions about "well where is Y-Not I?"
