Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. Celebrates a Successful First Half of the Event Season Convening the Community at Henry Maier Festival Park
MILWAUKEE – (July 27, 2023) – From Pride Fest and Polish Fest in June to the 55th anniversary of Summerfest and concerts with Janet Jackson, Louis Tomlinson, Whiskey Myers, and more, Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. (MWF) has hosted a successful first half of the season of events at Henry Maier Festival Park.
Pride Fest kicked off the festival season with record-breaking attendance during its 35th anniversary, while America’s largest Polish Fest celebrated culture and heritage June 9-11. Summerfest recorded an increase of 40% in attendance from last year, with 17% of attendees gaining access through a free admission promotion, along with over 600 artists during its three-weekend run.
Henry Maier Festival Park has been home to numerous other events that have already taken place including Northwestern Mutual Community Park Free Sunday Family Fun Days in June and July, Taco Fest, UPAF Ride for the Arts, and others.

Upcoming ethnic and cultural festivals and events at Henry Maier Festival Park are as follows:
• German Fest – July 28-30 – one of the largest and most authentic HAUS parties in North America
• Black Arts Fest MKE – August 5 – showcasing African and African American culture
• Northwestern Mutual Community Park Free Sunday Family Fun Days – August 6 – showcasing STEM focused programming, family friendly live performances, interactive activities, food trucks and more
• Irish Fest – August 17-20 – one of the largest Irish cultural event in North American
• Mexican Fiesta – August 25-27 – celebrating its 50th anniversary with the sound, culture, and taste of Mexico
• Laborfest – September 4 – sponsored by union members of the Milwaukee Area Labor Council and AFL-CIO, open to the public
• Northwestern Mutual Community Park Free Sunday Family Fun Days – September 17 – showcasing the Performing Arts including UPAF Members, Signature Dance Company, family friendly live performances, interactive activities, food trucks and more
• Walk to End Alzheimers – September 17
• Fromm Petfest – September 23 – the 10th annual free event features a variety of pet-focused attractions and activities
• Susan G. Komen More Than Pink Walk – September 24
• Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Light The Night – October 5
• American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk – October 14

In an effort to provide the community with access to a variety of live entertainment, fans who purchased tickets to Jelly Roll on August 18 at the BMO Pavilion will receive free admission to Irish Fest on August 18. Also, concert tickets purchased for the Los Bukis concert on August 24 at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater include free admission to the opening day of Mexican Fiesta on August 25.
