Classified Since 1966: SafeHouse Celebrates 60 Years Undercover

Agents are invited to embark on a special operation celebrating 60 years of espionage, entertainment, and Milwaukee history beginning September 3

MILWAUKEE, August 24, 2026 – For six decades, SafeHouse Milwaukee has served the city’s best kept secret while offering refuge to spies from around the globe. On October 8, Control, the mysterious entity tasked with establishing and maintaining the SafeHouse restaurant, will celebrate 60 years of espionage. In honor of this milestone, Control has activated Mission 60, a top-secret series of assignments, celebrations, and special operations running from September through New Year’s Eve for agents who successfully locate the red door hidden in downtown Milwaukee.

As Mission 60 unfolds, agents can complete the following assignments:

• Thursday, September 3: Mission 60 officially launches as Control begins distributing weekly intelligence drops across SafeHouse’s social media channels. Agents who successfully crack the clues will have the opportunity to locate hidden $100 SafeHouse gift cards concealed at iconic Milwaukee landmarks. New intel will be released weekly through October 8, culminating with a grand prize giveaway featuring dinner for six and a Hail to the Chief experience.

• Monday, October 5: To celebrate Global James Bond Day, secret agents can enjoy 60-cent martinis with the purchase of an entree (limit two per operative).

• Thursday, October 8: SAFEHOUSE’S 60TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION. On the exact date SafeHouse marks 60 years under cover, agents can begin reporting for duty when the doors open at 5:00 p.m. The celebration culminates with the official Birthday Toast at 7:00 p.m. honoring six decades of undercover operations. The first 60 operatives to report for duty will receive limited-edition SafeHouse anniversary glassware.

• Saturday, October 31: Spies are encouraged to break out their best retro attire for a ticketed Shagadelic 60s Halloween Bash.

• December: SafeHouse will transform into a festive undercover headquarters with a month-long Grinch-themed Holiday Pop-Up Experience, featuring seasonal fare, holiday décor, and 60s-inspired throwback cocktails.

• Thursday, December 31: Agents can ring in the New Year during a ticketed James Bond-inspired 60s Gala, the grand finale of Mission 60.

In addition, agents can put their investigative skills to the test during SafeHouse’s monthly Murder Mystery Dinner Parties, taking place October through December. These two-hour interactive experiences include immersive gameplay, a welcome cocktail and four liquor tastings paired with small bites designed to enhance the flavor of each spirit. Clues, suspects and surprises await around every corner as operatives work together to crack the case.

Intel also indicates that SafeHouse will debut new food offerings to warm spies up after a long day out in the field, such as:

• Blofeld’s Fondue Avalanche: Gruyere cheese, Kirsch and nutmeg served with bread cubes and fresh vegetables.

• Killer Crock of Beans Chili: Dangerous beef chili topped with cheddar cheese, sour cream and green onions.

Complementing the menu is a fresh lineup of fall cocktails driven by spiced and smoky notes.

In addition, agents can enjoy special weekly activations, including Trivia Nights on Wednesdays and Live Music Sessions on Thursdays.

“For 60 years, SafeHouse has given spies a place to gather, celebrate, and embark on unforgettable missions,” said Agent Everywhere (a.k.a. Layce Hall, General Manager). “Mission 60 is our way of thanking the generations of spies and recruits who have helped make SafeHouse a Milwaukee icon. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or reporting back for your hundredth mission, there’s always something new to discover behind the red door. Over and out.”

Since opening in 1966, agents from around the globe have traveled to Milwaukee in search of this undercover hideaway. Upon locating the secret entrance, spies must provide the proper password or complete a clearance test proving they are not double agents before gaining access to a world of espionage artifacts, hidden passageways, puzzles, and classified surprises. Six decades later, SafeHouse remains one of Milwaukee’s most enduring covert operations.
