Here at Milwaukee Record, we support local music, we love local music, we write about local music, and we’ve amassed a respectable collection of local music through the years. Since we’ve been getting that itch to play some records in public again, we’re going to celebrate some of our favorite Milwaukee-made music during an all-local happy hour DJ set at Cactus Club next week.

Join us from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12. During those three hours, we—a.k.a. me, Milwaukee Record co-founder Tyler Maas—will be behind the turntables playing some of our favorite Milwaukee music off all-time, some of our favorite local music released this year, and we’ll even devote some time to playing your project. That’s right! Milwaukee musicians (and local scene supporters alike) are invited to bring in their own records and hook up to Cactus Club’s aux cord to play a song or two.

Cactus Club will be serving up its full selection of beer, cocktails, and N/A beverages during this happy hour set. Come by and order a Milwaukee Record Recommended beer and shot special or two! This localized DJ happy hour is free to attend. Dig through your collection of Cream City albums and meet us at Cactus Club on July 12. We’ll see you there!
