In case you missed the exciting news, Great Lakes Distillery made us our very own brandy. Yes, “Milwaukee Record Brandy” will officially be released at the Walker’s Point-based distillery on Friday, October 18. The spirit is made with Wisconsin-grown grapes that were aged for two years. This special single barrel release is limited to just 300 bottles produced…ever.
In advance of the brandy’s release (and our associated “A Celebration Of Brandy” event also planned to take place at Great Lakes Distillery on Friday, October 18), we sent our occasional field correspondent Bert Lauderdale to the distillery last week to learn more about the new spirit and to try an old fashioned made with Milwaukee Record Brandy.
Be like Bert and pick up your very own bottle of Milwaukee Record Brandy at Great Lakes Distillery. A portion of sales from the brandy support Milwaukee Record. As we mentioned, only 300 bottles were produced, so when it’s gone, it’s gone forever.
Oh, and if you’re not doing anything from 6-10 p.m. this Friday, we’d love if you stopped by Great Lakes Distillery for “A Celebration Of Brandy.” Great Lakes Distillery will be selling bottles on-site and serving up specialty cocktails made with our brandy. Fox Den will have a brandy-inspired burger. Milwaukee Record will be DJing an all-vinyl set featuring Brandy and other ’90s and early 2000s cuts, selling shirts, and giving away stickers. Great Lakes Distillery might even show Moesha episodes on some of their TVs. Let’s celebrate all things Brandy on October 18!
