Since 2009, for a handful of Fridays throughout the summer, Point Fish Fry & A Flick has transformed Discovery World on the lakefront into an outdoor movie mecca. Co-produced by the Pabst Theater Group, the series will return for its seventh season in 2015, and will feature free screenings of movies both old and new, free beer tastings from Stevens Point Brewery, fish fry and other goodies (shrimp, poutine, hot dogs, brats, fries, snacks) from Bartolotta Restaurants, and over 3,000 satisfied Milwaukeeans. It’s a wonderful summer tradition, even though we’re still smarting from that time Major League got rained out. Major League!

Anyway, here’s the ridiculously great lineup for Fish Fry & A Flick 2015. It starts off strong with 1988’s Beetlejuice (“You’re working with a professional here!”) gets stronger with 1992’s Wayne’s World (“Milwaukee has certainly had its share of visitors…”) gets even better with last year’s Guardians Of The Galaxy (“I don’t know how this machine works…”) and, holy shit, ends with the original Jurassic Park (“Dodgson! Dodgson! We’ve got Dodgson here!”)

To top it off, Pabst, Point, and Bartolotta’s will be screening the films in a higher res format on the side of Discovery World, a technique perfected at the end of last season. Nothing but the best for freelance bio-exorcists, public access TV stars, sentient trees, and flame-throwing guitar players. The events begin at 5 p.m., and the movies begin at dusk.
