What are you doing the afternoon of Sunday, August 7? Cancel it! Here’s what you’re doing.

In accordance with the 11th annual Milwaukee Comedy Festival, Milwaukee Record is recording a special live episode of our “On The Record” podcast at The Underground Collaborative, a wonderful 120-seat venue in the basement of The Shops Of Grand Avenue (that can now legally serve alcohol!).

We’ll be joined by an eclectic and tremendous trio of guests. Comedian, promoter, and Milwaukee Comedy Festival co-producer Kaitlin McCarthy will lead things off with some background on the fest and some games. She’ll be followed by Tim Higgins, a veteran improviser and co-star of Old Milwaukee’s popular “Pass Me A Beer” ads that have been seen by millions of people. The show will be brought to a close with the sweet fanny-focused sounds of Spud Butler, frontman of The Blue Mooners, in a rare solo performance.

The show starts at 4 p.m. and is FREE. Won’t you join us in the Grand Avenue basement for an afternoon of laughter, beer throwing, and songs about butts? We’d love to see you.
