It’s not even May yet and it’s already shaping up to be one of the busiest and best festival seasons in recorded Milwaukee history. Want yet another event to add to the ever-growing list of great summer entertainment undertakings that will be happening in and around the city in the coming months? Okay!
On Saturday, July 12, Puddler’s Hall (2461 S. St. Clair St.) will once again shut down the street in front of the bar in order to host the 5th annual Rock Party Block Party. From 2-9 p.m., the Bay View happening will feature a winning mix of homegrown live music, food from local vendors, and goods from area retailers.
True to its name, Rock Party Block Party will offer a steady diet of guitar-driven local bands, including the legendary Louie & the Flashbombs, the return of Two And A Half Stars, and an appearance by The Dirty Sweet. Buzz from WMSE’s “Buzz’s Garage” will also be DJing between sets. Here’s the lineup (listed from opener to headliner):
Contraptions
The Bronswik Affair
Two And A Half Stars
Louie & The Flashbombs
The Truck
The Dirty Sweet
Beyond the music and beverages, there will be some vendors on-site selling their wares, including Keith Drea of Man Cave Productions and Punk Rock Rummage Sale (which will bring works from more than two dozen vendors to the event). Oh, and if you think your future self will be hungry at some point on July 12, you can rest assured knowing there will be a selection of eats from the likes of Ventura Taco, Puddler’s Hall (who will be serving up pizza), and more food vendors TBA as the event nears. Save the date and make your way to Puddler’s Hall for a day of indoor and outdoor fun. We’ll see you there!
