Last year, we introduced you to NilexNile when he was preceding his Treason Youth project by releasing a music video for “If You Down.” Since putting out that albumhis second record of 2019—last November, the Milwaukee rapper has been hard at work on more new material.

NilexNile released a pair of singles earlier this year, followed by a lean and mean five-track EP called Forest Of Giant two weeks ago. Now that he’s hit his stride, NilexNile is keeping the output coming with a music video for “Forest Of Giant” that finds him exploring Chicago and becoming one with nature.

The video was filmed and edited by Matt Bordman and Brian Jude. NilexNile tells Milwaukee Record the song was inspired by the concept of growth as well as his love of Chicago art and artists. Fittingly, the two-and-a-half-minute video features the rapper walking among the towering torsos of the city’s famed Agora installation. The city scenes are offset with serene shots of NilexNile in parks and prairies that lend to the song’s smooth and relaxed feel. Check out the “Forest Of Giant” music video below and listen to Forest Of Giant on all streaming platforms.
