Milwaukee is chock full of things to do, but only a handful of Milwaukee events are worthy of the lofty honor of “Record Recommended” (patent pending). Here are our recommendations for June 1-7, 2026, brought to you by Wynk.
MONDAY, JUNE 1
Kevin Morby @ The Argo
“For Kevin Morby, the ‘little wide open’ is the big sky, the small lives, it’s his origins in the Midwest, and every duty and modesty and familiarity and isolation: the land, the people, and the parts of that inside him. ‘There’s something unintentionally musical about the Midwest; cicadas chirping in the trees, a train passing, a tornado siren going off,’ explains Morby. ‘If you listen, there are these almost ominous sounds taking place beneath the wide-open sky—its ugliness and its beauty and how the two are often working together simultaneously. And while the Midwest isn’t technically the badlands, it’s my badlands.'”
’68 + Nate Bergman @ X-Ray Arcade
Bluegrass Whatevers @ Ope! Brewing Co.
TUESDAY, JUNE 2
MV Wells + Speedy Muffler @ Cactus Club
“MV Wells is a Midwestern singer-songwriter whose genre-spanning work is tied together by a singular skill for melody and an uncanny knack for creating memorable hooks. Listeners may know his unique pop sensibility from the 2010s Chicago indie rock group Ne-Hi, the country-rock group Flamingo Rodeo, or his more recent work with psychedelic new wave collective Spun Out. Wells has spent the last decade in the Chicago music scene, touring the United States, and opening for bands such as Dinosaur Jr., Whitney, the Black Lips, and Twin Peaks.”

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 3
Milwaukee Record Club: Wiggle Room Warped Tour (Pop-Punk, Emo, Ska) @ Wiggle Room
We’re taking over the Wiggle Room decks for a Wednesday night monthly collaborative vinyl spin we’re calling “Milwaukee Record Club.” From 6-9 p.m., we’ll drop the needle on vinyl releases that adhere to the month’s specific theme. Though we’ll bring enough music to cover a full set, we’re asking—no, we’re strongly encouraging—people to bring in their own vinyl that fits our chosen theme. If we think it’s a fit, we’ll play it! For this “Wiggle Room Warped Tour” installment, we’re playing pop-punk, emo, ska, and more!
