Milwaukee has long been known as the “City Of Festivals,” but we’ve also become something of a hub for conventions in recent years. Last week, downtown was abuzz with folks partaking in Anime Milwaukee festivities. In late March and early April respectively, AdeptiCon and Midwest Gaming Classic will take over the Baird Center. If that’s not enough convention fun for you, a brand new convention is coming to an airport-adjacent hotel this weekend and it looks to be a killer time.
Friday, March 14 through Sunday, March 16, Milwaukee Horror Con will slash its way into the Four Points By Sheraton Milwaukee Convention Center. The three-day event, which calls itself “Wisconsin’s only horror convention,” will bring special celebrity guests, panels, an abundance of horror-centric vendors, and a chance to screen a bunch of indie horror films.
So who will be there? You’ll be able to rub elbows with the likes of Ross Marquand (from Avengers and The Walking Dead), Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp and Terrifier 2), Dave Sheridan (Scary Movie), Brett Wagner (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Sons Of Anarchy), Alex Vincent (Child’s Play), and Douglas Tait (Freddie Vs. Jason and Halloween Kills) and many more.
General admission tickets are $10 on Friday (5-10 p.m.), $28 on Saturday (11 a.m.-8 p.m.), and $9 on Sunday (11 a.m.-5 p.m.). VIP Passes that cover all three days run $62. There are also packages that include meet and greets, as well as photo/video opportunities with celebrity guests (in costume, in many instances) for an additional charge. Horror fans rejoice! Milwaukee Horror Con is coming this weekend.
