During last year’s Record Store Day festivities, Lilliput Records—an independent record retailer owned and operated by former Exclusive Company managers in the same property (1669 N. Farwell Ave.) that its predecessor called home for more than 30 years—went above and beyond for its first installment of the consumer holiday. With another RSD on the horizon, owners Tanner Musgrove and Brian Kirk have even bigger and better plans for this year’s edition.

From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, Lilliput plans to host a day full of live music, DJ sets, a pop-up cafe, raffles for concert tickets and other goodies, and the chance to score some goodies related to the other holiday being celebrated that day. Oh, the store will also have some new Record Store Day releases on hand and will be offering sales on a variety of non-RSD releases all day long. There are a lot of aspects of Lilliput’s Record Store Day celebration, so we’re just going to go point-by-point.

Coffee

If you don’t want to miss out on a limited edition release while in line at your local coffee shop, Lilliput and Nomad Coffee Bar have you covered. First off, Nomad Coffee Bar—located just around the corner from Lilliput—will be open at 6 a.m. so shoppers can stock up on pastries and caffeinated beverages before the record store opens at 7 a.m. When the record store opens an hour later, Nomad Coffee Bar be offering free coffee to shoppers from 7 a.m. to noon.

Music

From open to close, Lilliput will be alive with on-site DJs and live performances by musicians. Here’s the tentative schedule for all the free all-ages entertainment.

Additionally, the new Lilliput and Kind Oasis gummy collaboration (20-count 10mg D9 THC + 10mg CBD jar) will be available in store for $29.99. Speaking of Kind Oasis, the business will be pouring free samples of its Lemon Fader THC Seltzer from 12-2 p.m. (while supplies last) and selling cans of it in the store for $6.99 apiece.

The second Record Store Day at Lilliput Records is going to be a doozy. We encourage you to make Lilliput part of your Record Store Day itinerary, and hit up other independently-owned music retailers on April 20 as well. Happy shopping!
