Entering its 19th year, Center Street Daze Festival serves to remind Milwaukee the end of festival season is in sight. Just two months earlier and a few blocks north, Locust Street Festival Of Music And Art unofficially kicked the slurry of summer festivities off with food and beer vendors, an all-around relaxed feel, and entertainment provided by great (primarily Riverwest-based) bands. Center Street Daze will bring strikingly similar tastes, feelings, and some of the same sounds to the neighborhood’s other main causeway Saturday, August 6 between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.

In addition to the RAA Cart Race, a classic car show, something called a “Graffiti Cube,” and the familiar opportunity to eat and drink outside, over 30 acts will take to five festival stages over the course of the day—not to mention Bremen Cafe, High Dive, Mad Planet, Company Brewing, and Quarters Rock ‘N Roll Palace keeping the fun going on or near Center St. after the block party officially ends. Beyond the usual suspects (not that it’s a bad thing at all) like Foreign Goods, Ruth B8r Ginsburg, D’Amato, Extra Crispy Brass Band, and Tigernite (pictured above), there’s also a wealth of acts that aren’t regulars on the festival circuit. Take a look at the full music lineup, which was released in full over the weekend.
