Alyssa LeichtGet ready for GGOOLLDD’s new album, Turner Hall release show with “Money” Tyler Maas January 30, 2020 Between frequently writing new material, constantly touring, occasionally appearing on festival lineups, and having some members who are currently living in Louisiana, GGOOLLDD isn’t able to play in Milwaukee as often as they used to. So when they do have the opportunity to perform in the city where the band originated, they make it count. Following a select few Milwaukee shows in 2019 (including a headlining show at Summerfest), the synth-pop act will return to town March 27 to perform at Turner Hall. The rare local show will double as the Milwaukee release show for the band’s debut full-length, Here We Are, which comes out February 14. Earlier this month, GGOOLLDD released “Welcome To My House,” a smooth and dreamy single from that forthcoming album. With the record release date and the Turner Hall show coming up quick, the band decided to give listeners another sample from Here We Are. Today, GGOOLLDD released a second single from the album. “Money” features toe-tapping percussion, a bass line that’s equal parts infectious and intense, and angular guitar picking. As always, singer Margaret Butler’s trademark hooks and captivating voice pull everything together into one neat, undeniably danceable package. The song was recorded by GGOOLLDD and Malachi DeLorenzo at Apocalypse The Apocalypse studio in Clearfield, Pennsylvania and mastered by Justin Perkins at Mystery Room Mastering. Before Here We Are‘s February 14 release and GGOOLLDD’s release show at Turner Hall on March 27, listen to “Money” below.
