Every Wednesday at noon, WMSE’s Ryan Schleicher, Shepherd Express’ Evan Rytlewski, and Milwaukee Record’s Matt Wild take to the WMSE airwaves to discuss all things Milwaukee. This half-hour fun-fest is called The Disclaimer, so named because none of the oft-ridiculous views expressed on the show necessarily reflect the views of the hosts’ employers. Milwaukee music, Milwaukee art, Milwaukee events, and D.I.Y. lawn care tips are frequently discussed—and rarely agreed upon. The Disclaimer: talk radio for the sane.
Before Saturday’s “Smith Uncovered” extravaganza for Alverno Presents, curator Betty Strigens stops by to discuss the details of the show, which will find a host of Milwaukee artists re-interpreting the music and words of Patti Smith. Next, Ryan, Evan, and Matt wonder if a handful of high-profile concerts coming to the BMO Harris Bradley Center might give the aging arena a new lease on life. Evan informs the group that Pearl Jam is a band that people like, and wonders if James Taylor knows who the hell the “all-stars” are in his all-star band.
