In recent years, Milwaukee breweries have been known to work together on things like beer collaborations and charitable events that improve the state of local brewing and help the community in the process. This Saturday, six local craft brewers will kick off Earth Month and keep the collaboration going by teaming up for a river clean up event.

From 12-2 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, each of the participating breweries—Amorphic Beer, Black Husky Brewing, Company Brewing, Gathering Place Brewing Company, Lakefront Brewery, and Sprecher Brewing Co.—will lead volunteers on a litter clean up along the Milwaukee River trails. Interested volunteers are asked to show up at any of those brewery locations by 12 p.m. before setting out on a two-hour clean up excursion.

Beyond the satisfaction of leaving the Milwaukee River trails in a better condition than they previously were, all those who participate will receive a coupon for a free draft beverage at each of the participating breweries (must be 21+ for beer). Yes, that’s SIX FREE PINTS for picking up litter! If you’re interested in taking part, you can RSVP and/or learn more about the River Clean Up Day here.
