In the amount of time it takes to prepare an omelet, get through most of Marc Maron’s “WTF Podcast” intro or watch your weathered 8-Minute Abs VHS approximately 1.25 times, you could listen to all four fun and delightfully dingy songs on the brand new self-titled EP from Fox Face. The under-appreciated Milwaukee punk quartet—which features two former members of The Olives in its ranks—are brash and brief in the nine-plus minute follow-up to a 2013 cassette (that’s also just called Fox Face) that was posted on Bandcamp this morning. By the time you’re done dancing to “Batin’,” you will have officially spent the previous 10 minutes wisely. And your omelet will be ready.
