For a period of eight years, Burnhearts Mitten Fest offered a one-day escape from the seasonal doldrums that plague Wisconsinites in wintertime. The February festival brought people together in a two-block stretch on Bay View’s Potter Avenue (and part of Logan in recent years) with a wintry mix of live music, food, beverages, and charity. The event did not take place in 2021 for obvious reasons, but we’re pleased to report Milwaukee’s favorite winter festival will return in 2022.

From noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, Mitten Fest will make its triumphant return. Today, Milwaukee Record—an official media sponsor of Mitten Fest along with WMSE—is proud to announce the eclectic and altogether awesome musical lineup that will take the stage.

6 p.m. start – Gego Y Nony

4:45 p.m. – Guerrilla Ghost

3:30 p.m. – Telethon

2:15 p.m. – No Seatbelts

1 p.m. – NilexNile

(Between-act DJing by Chris Schulist)

As if the stacked cast of musicians isn’t enticing enough, Burnhearts will serve rare and limited beers from Central Waters Brewery and Bell’s Brewery, its famous Brandyland old fashioneds (with Bittercube Bitters), Tito’s Milk Punch, and Valentine coffee. An array of local vendors will sell food and non-alcoholic beverages. Cortney Heimerl (of Hover Craft) will enlist a varied grouping of local vendors for an art, craft, and maker fair. And as always, Burnhearts will also accept cash and non-perishables for Hunger Task Force along with clothing donations. Also, Compost Crusader will strive to reduce waste.

Happy Mitten Fest, Milwaukee! We’ll see you there.
