Brendan Kelly is the best. While you certainly know and love the Chicago punk legend and former Slapstick and Broadways member’s modern-day work in The Lawrence Arms, The Falcon, and on his hilariously bleak Nihilist Arby’s Twitter account, Kelly is also one hell of a solo artist. That solo endeavor—Brendan Kelly And The Wandering Birds—put out Keep Walkin’, Pal in late 2018 and played a long-overdue Milwaukee show in early 2019 in support of the excellent album.

Today, Kelly announced his CDC-approved return to the stage in the form of his “Here Goes Nothing” tour. The 20-show summer jaunt will kick off right here in Milwaukee with a performance at The Cooperage on Friday, July 30. Tickets to the show are $10 in advance and they’re AVAILABLE NOW. Warning: Kelly’s last solo show in Milwaukee sold out, so act fast…lest you have to travel to subsequent shows in Green Bay, Minneapolis, or Chicago instead.

Milwaukee Record is a proud presenting sponsor of this tour kickoff at The Cooperage. Seth Gile from Arms Aloft will play in support. Stay tuned for more details as the show draws closer. Until then, listen to Brendan Kelly’s episode of our My First Band podcast and get excited for July 30.
