Last week, we rounded up a bunch of Oktoberfest events taking place in and around Milwaukee this fall. Well, we missed one! Not only did we leave one event off the otherwise-very-thorough list, it’s quite possible we omitted the best local Oktoberfest left…at least in terms of beer options. Allow us to make up for this egregious error by giving some belated love to RAYtoberfest.

The inaugural event will bring fall-suited beers and food vendors aplenty to Ray’s Wine & Spirits on Sunday, October 8. From 12-5 p.m., the Wauwatosa business will offer close to 20 Festbier and Märzen beers on tap. Breweries featured include: Ayinger, Dovetail, Central Waters, Goose Island, Third Space, Erdinger, Surly, Half Acre, Hinterland, Spaten, 3 Sheeps, MKE Brewing, August Schell’s, Weihenstephaner, Good City, New Glarus, and Warsteiner. The event will also mark the debut of Ray’s Autumnal Apple Pie Slushie.

Beyond the beverage element, Ray’s will have contests, a DJ set from DJ Fuzzy Logic, and brats from Bunzel’s Old Fashioned Meat Market. And there’s more! There will be a wide variety of local food vendors selling their goods. Those vendors include:

Kelly’s Greens
BB Cakes
Happy Buddah
Bold Blossom
Esperer Sisters
Cottonmouth
Sheri Roloff
Brew City Pickles
Chase My Creations
Nourish
Love of Drax
Highlands Honey
Uncommon Wild
Boho Luxe
Live Laugh Lobes
Alchemist Hot Sauce

Whether you’re going for the beer, the food, the activity, or some combination of all three, RAYtoberfest has all the makings of being a beautiful day in the Rayborhood.
