UPDATE: Sold. It wasn’t us!
For all its underlying weirdness, Facebook Marketplace can be kind of cool sometimes. I bought my basement couch on Marketplace. Trapper Schoepp sold me some vintage barstools on Marketplace. I’ll eventually get around to listing a dumbbell set and a cat carrier there, too…unless any of you want to buy a dumbbell set and/or a cat carrier from me. Anyway, I just learned about another Facebook Marketplace treasure and, well, I need someone else to buy it immediately so Milwaukee Record doesn’t.
There’s currently an old Culver’s ordering booth available somewhere in or around Oconomowoc. Hot damn! Just look at this beauty.
Think of all the ways this thing could be used. As the listing suggests, it could be good for hunting or ticket sales. Beyond that, umm…maybe a little backyard work space where you can put a standing desk. A tiny greenhouse perhaps? A likely-not-up-to-code food stand?
This could’ve made an awesome DJ booth at Promises (R.I.P.) or something. There’s a sliding window and power hookups, so the possibilities are endless. Unless any of those possibilities require more than, say, three feet of space.
It’s an absolute steal at $375 (or less, as the owner is open to negotiating a lower price). However, there is the matter of removing it and transporting it to wherever you want it to go. (We’re getting flashbacks to that $11 dinosaur statue.)
So how would Milwaukee Record use this old Culver’s ordering booth? Honestly, I have no earthly idea. That’s why I need you to buy this before we can. We have no way to transport it and we don’t have the space for it. You need this ordering booth more than we do. Buy it soon or we’re just going to prop it next to our Landmark Lanes marquee and probably forget about it.
