The former site of Victor’s Nightclub, 1230 N. Van Buren St., may see some new life this fall. And that new life sounds a lot like the old life.
License applications filed with the city indicate a new bar and restaurant, Vick’s On Van Buren, is being planned for the site. Khalid Atut is listed as the sole owner of Vick’s On Van Buren. (An LLC was incorporated in March.) Paresha Pesqueira, who owns Bay View’s Revel Bar, is listed as the agent.
The license applications list fall 2025 as the proposed opening date, with hours from 11 a.m. – 2 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays, and 11 a.m. – 2:30 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Alcohol is listed as 50% projected sales, along with food (30%) and entertainment (20%). The space would be 21+ after 9 p.m.
Victor’s closed on January 2, 2025, after nearly six decades in business. In March, the property and its assets were sold for $1 million.
We’ve reached out to Atut and Pesqueira for more information. All license applications require approval from the city’s License Committee and the full Common Council.
