We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: every Friday is a Friday fish fry day in Wisconsin, but there’s only one Friday when Wisconsin, the country, and the entire world celebrate the official Friday Fish Fry Day. And that Friday, at least for this year’s fifth annual fish fry festivities, is March 7!

Created in 2021 by local fish fry expert and Milwaukee Record contributor Caleb Westphal, this homegrown holiday “aims to bring family and friends together to celebrate the Friday night fish fry tradition.” So get out there and enjoy some fish! Like you weren’t going to already. And when you’re done partaking in your fish fry meal, you should keep the fun going with us at Third Space Brewing. The beloved brewery has joined forces with Westphal to host the official Friday Fish Fry Day After Party.

From 6-10 p.m., Third Space will be serving up its vast arsenal of tasty brews, including its Pretty Good amber they’ve dubbed “The Official Beer Of Friday Fish Fry.” Meanwhile, Interchange Food Pantry will be accepting donations of peanut butter, fruits and vegetables (both canned and fresh), and money. Those who donate at the event will get a wristband that’s good for discounted beer throughout the night. Frida’s Cocina will be parked outside the brewery and will be selling its excellent Mexican fare, including their delicious fish tacos. Finally, both Westphal and Milwaukee Record co-founder/co-editor Tyler Maas will be spinning 45s from a wide variety of genres and eras.

Celebrate Friday Fish Fry Day at your favorite local establishment on Friday, March 7, then join Milwaukee Record at Third Space Brewing for a night of beer, music, food, and philanthropy. We hope to see you there!
