With their movie series put together in accordance with Halloween and Christmas, anime nights, unique monthly themes like “Antihero April” and “Martial Arts May,” honoring fallen music greats, hosting classic movie matinees, not to mention letting Milwaukee Record pick out a movie to show every month, the fine folks at Neighborhood Theater Group—which operates Avalon Theater, Rosebud Cinema, and Times Cinema—are doing a great job of filling metro Milwaukee’s nights with subversive cinema classics for all types of audiences.

In effort to hold over viewers who are eagerly awaiting Jurassic World 2‘s June 21 theatrical release, Rosebud Cinema asked Milwaukee Record to partner up for six dweeby days of celebrated comedies for a celebration the theater is calling “Geek Week.” June 15-20, Rosebud will show three beloved and, yes, decidedly geeky films that span three decades. Join us at the Wauwatosa theater for a total of 12 special screenings. Included in the trio is Mel Brooks’ spectacular Spaceballs (1987), Mike Judge’s subversive Office Space (1999), and the low-budget brilliance of Napoleon Dynamite (2004).

All tickets are $5. Here’s the full film lineup, daily schedules, and ticket links. Yeah…we’re going to need you to go ahead and check out these movies.
