It’s safe to say the Avalon has been killing it lately. The Bay View theater’s recent Hayao Miyazaki anime film series went over so well that they’ve extended the screenings into April at Times Cinema, its sister theater. After a little prodding on our part, Avalon is letting Milwaukee Record host a special screening of Major League on Sunday, April 3. As if that’s not awesome enough, Avalon’s “Antihero April” film series should be enough to win you over.

Every Tuesday and Thursday in April, the theater will screen beloved cinema classics with flawed protagonists you can’t help but love. For $5, you can catch 10 p.m. screenings of The Big Lebowski, Fight Club, American Psycho, and A Clockwork Orange. With the (probable) garbage fire that is Batman V. Superman being the latest superhero film to hit theaters, maybe antiheroes are the better choice for your film-viewing dollar, at least for the time being. Here’s the full schedule:

April 5, 7: The Big Lebowski
April 12, 14: Fight Club
April 19, 21: American Psycho
April 26, 28: A Clockwork Orange
