Last week, we let you know that Aparna Nancherla and Sean Patton would be joining the likes of Patton Oswalt as headliners of this year’s Milwaukee Comedy Festival. Today, festival organizers revealed another headliner of the 20th annual festival, which is scheduled to take place October 7-12 at a variety of local venues.
On Friday, October 10, Punkie Johnson will headline a Milwaukee Comedy Festival showcase at Shank Hall. Tickets to the 7:30 p.m. show are on sale now. In addition to being an outstanding stand up comedian who has appeared on Comedy Central and HBO, Johnson was in the cast of Saturday Night Live for four seasons (2020-2024). Outside of the realm of sketch, some of her acting credits include roles on TV shows like Space Force and Ghosts and films like the breakout 2023 comedy Bottoms.
