What iiiiiiiiiiiiis up? Avid Milwaukee Record readers and Slopheads alike might recall The Sloppy Boys—a podcast that “takes a deep dive into the drinks that you love”—came to X-Ray Arcade in Cudahy back on Saturday, March 1 for the penultimate stop on their winter tour.
In advance of that live pod recording, we went through the effort of writing up some recommendations for localized libations The Boys could potentially cover, ranging from a variety of brandy-based beverages, unique regional favorites, and famous cocktails actually invented in Milwaukee. Instead, they decided to evaluate…Milwaukee’s Best. Actually, they evaluated Milwaukee’s Best Ice at the live outing.
Questionable drink choice aside, it was a great night! They were hilarious as usual, they split up segments by performing some classic songs from their band (also called The Sloppy Boys), and they tried ginger brandy and reviewed that, too, for good measure. If you weren’t fortunate enough to be there, you’re in luck. Today, in honor of their realization that apparently 41 of the drunkest counties in the U.S. are located in Wisconsin, The Sloppy Boys decided to release that live recording on their mainline podcast.
