It might feel like -8 degrees in Milwaukee right now, but warmer and significantly more fun days are ahead. As we do our all to get through (hopefully?) the worst part of this winter, area event organizers are graciously giving us some things to look forward to in the months ahead. The latest such reason to be excited about summer here in the “City Of Festivals” is the recent announcement of a Bay View block party’s triumphant return.

Yesterday, we learned the Puddler’s Hall “Rock Party Block Party” will be back for a 6th annual installment this summer. On Saturday, July 11, a portion of St. Clair St. in front of the historic Bay View bar will be shut down all afternoon and evening in order to host a winning mix of homegrown live music, food from local vendors, and goods from area retailers.

Stay tuned for more info, including the full music and food truck lineups. In the meantime, do your best to stay positive for the remainder of winter and make plans to spend time outside Puddler’s Hall on July 11.
