Milwaukee Record is working in partnership with Urban Cat Coalition—a local organization that’s dedicated to creating a no kill community by humanely reducing the cat population in the Milwaukee area through targeted trap-neuter-return (TNR)—to help find loving homes for area cats. Each week, we plan to highlight a feline friend that’s currently up for adoption by naming it “Milwaukee Record’s Cat Of The Week.” This week: bonded brother-sister duo Burke and Kimchi.

Meet Burke and Kimchi! They’re a cute and floofy bonded brother-sister duo. They are absolute besties—each other’s ride or die. This sweet, shy, and independent pair would be great for someone who doesn’t want cats up in their business all day long.

Burke is a bit of a foodie. She loves a snack, and deliciously smelly treats (lickable treats and fish bites) are her favorite. She also loves a wand toy. She will leap and jump like a chonky superstar.

Kimchi is typically happy to watch you from afar and minding his own business, but the way to his heart is through food—especially a lickable treat like Churu or Tiki Stix. Then suddenly you’re best friends and he’ll start that purr motor right up.

These two are looking for a quiet, patient home that will give them time to shine and feel comfortable. Some slow blinks, sweet talk, and treats will speed that along. They also do well with other cat friends. Can they join your crew?
