Milwaukee Record is working in partnership with Urban Cat Coalition—a local organization that’s dedicated to creating a no kill community by humanely reducing the cat population in the Milwaukee area through targeted trap-neuter-return (TNR)—to help find loving homes for area cats. Each week, we plan to highlight a feline friend that’s currently up for adoption by naming it “Milwaukee Record’s Cat Of The Week.” This week: a sweet and resilient gray boy called Slate.
Meet Slate, a sweet and resilient gray boy who’s come a long way after needing medical treatment. Now strong and healed, he carries a small scar on his side, but don’t let that fool you—he’s soft and absolutely adores gentle pets. Though he’s a little apprehensive about contact at first, Slate has a special fondness for pets and will rub his face against you, seeking that full-contact affection.
This gentle soul loves his cozy pillow bed and has a soft spot for breakfast time. While he’s still learning to fully trust, Slate is on the lookout for a forever family who will be patient with him, respect his boundaries, and help him blossom into the snugglebug he’s destined to be.
If you’re ready to open your heart to a sweet, strong boy with a lot of love to give, Slate is waiting for you!
