Milwaukee Record is working in partnership with Urban Cat Coalition—a local organization that’s dedicated to creating a no kill community by humanely reducing the cat population in the Milwaukee area through targeted trap-neuter-return (TNR)—to help find loving homes for area cats. Each week, we plan to highlight a feline friend that’s currently up for adoption by naming it “Milwaukee Record’s Cat Of The Week.” This week: a gentle giant known as Rook.

Meet Rook! Rook is part molasses, part velvet, and all gentle giant. This very tall and lanky guy is a champion biscuit maker. He adores people and would like nothing more than to crawl into (and promptly fall out of) your lap. He’s just so excited to be there!

He’s made friends with (or at least has been curious about) every creature he’s ever met—even spiders! He would love a soft place to land in a home with other furry friends, but would also do well in an only cat home. He’s just a really good and chill guy.
