It’s still 2024 and we’re already learning about a business closure happening next year. Monday afternoon, Clover—a Bay View-shop that specializes in sustainable plants and pottery—announced it will be closing in early 2025. The message, which owners/founders Maggie Murphy and Sissy Butner posted on social media, indicates February 5 (the fourth anniversary of the store’s opening date) will be Clover’s final day in business. Check out the full announcement below.
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we have made the difficult decision to close our doors.
The last four years have been nothing short of magical and for that we are both eternally grateful. Thank you for sharing our passion for plants, art, good vibes and spreading local love.
We will be having major sales for the month of January, and will only be open on Saturdays and Sundays for the remainder of our time with you all.
Our last day of being open will be Monday, February 5th, four years to the date of us opening our storefront. Stay tuned for details of sales and plans for our send off on 2.5.2025.
Thank you again for four amazing years of business. It has truly been an honor to be a part of the Bay View small business community.
With so much love,
Maggie & Sissy
Be sure to stop by Clover (2252 S. Kinnickinnic) in the next few weeks to stock up on plants and help the owners clear what’s left of the store’s inventory. Goodbye, Clover. Bay View will be a little less vibrant without you in it.
