Remember that July 4 Milwaukee County drone show that everyone has been trying to forget? Well, if you wish that drone show was a bit longer (?) and had more live Antonio Vivaldi music and less pre-recorded Beach Boys, you’re in luck. What’s being called “the longest drone show ever staged” is set to hover above Milwaukee’s Veterans Park on September 20.

“On September 20 at Veterans Park, DroneArt Show will transform the night sky into a massive, moving work of art,” reads a press release. “Over 500 illuminated drones will perform to the live soundtrack of Vivaldi’s ‘The Four Seasons,’ creating a spectacle that blends classical music, advanced technology, and immersive storytelling.”

How long is the “longest drone show ever staged”? A website for DroneArt Show indicates the entire experience is “65 minutes approx.,” but that it features “45 minutes of visual spectacle.” Forty-five minutes, coincidentally, was the same length as Milwaukee County’s July 4 drone show (albeit with a few short breaks).

DroneArt Show is a globally touring show from event group Fever. Other Fever events include those themed “candlelight” concerts you may have heard about, and those “immersive experiences” where you enter the magical world of Harry Potter or something.

Anyway, tickets to the September 20 DroneArt show are currently $39. (Interested in the “VIP Picnic Area”? That’ll be $87.) Here’s an unrelated video of that “giant baby balloon” thing from 2024.
