If you like the Milwaukee Brewers and you have a Twitter account, then chances are you’re aware of Tim Dillard. The charismatic veteran reliever has been bringing a dash of humor to the timelines of sports fans with his solid celebrity impersonations and goofy clubhouse videos he’s made over the course of his 20-year career (spent almost exclusively with Brewers minor league affiliates).

In 2019, the longtime Milwaukee farmhand—who was drafted by the team in 2001 and last pitched with the parent club in 2012—saw his lengthy tenure of Brewers employment come to an end when he signed a minor league deal with the Texas Rangers organization. Following a stint with the American Association Champion Milwaukee Milkmen last summer, Dillard returned to the Rangers minor league system this winter.

After being released by Texas recently, Dillard retired from baseball, leaving fans to wonder what was next for the rambunctious reliever. Fans didn’t have to wait too long, however, as Dillard—along with Racine native/former Milwaukee farmhand Vinny Rottino and former player/veteran broadcaster Chris Singleton—will be joining the Brewers and Bally Sports Wisconsin broadcast team this season.

According to a Brewers press release, “Dillard will serve as the primary Brewers Live pre/post analyst and will provide color commentary on select telecasts, while Rottino will also provide pre/post analysis.”

Get ready to hear the fan favorite’s impersonation of Will Ferrell’s impersonation of Harry Caray in the booth this year. We know we’re excited…assuming Bally Sports Wisconsin and select cable providers stop bickering over money and come to terms soon, that is.
