Where were you during the Milwaukee Bucks championship run in the summer of 2021? We’ll never forget that magical moment when the city was in the spotlight, and neither will Ben McCormick. The author was watching his favorite team win its first title in 50 years…from Portland.
While riding the highs and lows of the unforgettable Bucks postseason, the Wisconsin expat was settling into his new city, navigating his relationship, missing major family moments, and staying connected to his home region through each and every Milwaukee playoff game. He chronicles all of that in In the Room at the Top of the World, his book that will be released October 14.
The following week, McCormick will return to Milwaukee to celebrate the release with an in-person author event at Boswell Books on Monday, October 20. That night—two days before the Bucks’ regular season begins—McCormick will come to the store to discuss “leaving the Midwest, the Bucks title run, and other survivals” beginning at 6:30 p.m. His book will also be available for purchase on-site (and is available for pre-order from Boswell now). It’s good! How do we know? Because we read it and even wrote a blurb about it that you can see below.
The event is free, but registration is required. You can RSVP here. Relive a Bucks season unlike any other through the perspective of a devoted fan who was experiencing (most of) it from a distance and make arrangements to grab a copy of In the Room at the Top of the World.
