Though it pains us to talk about Aaron Rodgers’ collarbone, let’s talk about Aaron Rodgers’ collarbone. And Conan O’Brien. Last night on Conan, O’Brien announced that tonight’s show will feature a “Clueless Gamer” segment with none other than the out-of-commission Green Bay Packers quarterback. Apparently, O’Brien and Rodgers will be playing the new Assassins Creed game, Assassins Creed: Origins. What’s more, O’Brien revealed that Rodgers postponed his all-important surgery just to play the game. Maybe. Not really. He’s kidding, of course.
“As you all know, [Rodgers] was just sidelined with a pretty bad injury, okay?” says O’Brien in a preview clip. “And he had to have surgery and everything. But he postponed! He was supposed to get surgery for his arm [sic]. He postponed his surgery because he wanted to play video games with me! And they told him, they told him by doing that he’s threatening his career. And he said, ‘I don’t care! Conan and this video game mean more to me than my future in the National Football League!’ That’s a quote! Maybe.”
Watch the preview below, which features Rodgers reliving his injury, Rodgers revealing he got 13 screws in his collarbone (actual breaking news), and O’Brien killing video game hippos.
