Peters deli, 51st and college
pros: good fresh rolls in lots of varieties, can get shaved ham, there's donuts if you go early enough, discount if you pay in cash, can get your dry cleaning next door
cons: looks kind of janky inside, can't buy fresh OJ at the same time
Layton fruit market, Layton across from the airport
pros: can get shaved ham, can get all kinds of good things in the market besides ham, they have those Great Lakes potato chips that are really good, can eat your ham and rolls in the airport runway viewing lot
cons: have to go really early to get the freshest rolls and shaved ham and I'm not getting up that early, the rolls are all prepackaged so they're not "hard" rolls anymore
National bakery, bunch of locations
pros: it's available almost every day (more on that later), the rolls are fresh and large, can get primo donuts or paczki if you time it right
cons: not open on Sundays, the ham isn't hot, I'm always tempted to buy a cake
Please tell me about more hot ham and rolls!
the bake sale in west allis is non traditional but amazing
smoked pulled ham + buttermilk biscuits + peach mustard jam
you can also get traditional hard rolls instead of the biscuits
pros: tons of amazing bakery as well
cons: your waistline after buying $50 worth of pies, cookies, and whatnot
