City of Milwaukee Launches “414 in Motion,” First Ever Citywide Transportation & Mobility Plan
The City of Milwaukee is proud to announce the launch of 414 in Motion, the City’s first ever Transportation and Mobility Plan. This plan will guide how Milwaukee designs, operates, maintains, and invests in its streets to better serve all neighborhoods across the city.
414 in Motion is using a data-driven and community-guided planning process to set a vision for the future of mobility in Milwaukee. Whether you walk, bike, drive, ride the bus, or roll on two wheels, the plan will work to improve how everyone moves through the city. 414 in Motion will identify key policies, develop investment priorities, and recommend transformative infrastructure projects that support a safer, more accessible, and more connected Milwaukee.
“414 in Motion represents a bold step forward in how we think about transportation in Milwaukee,” said Mayor Cavalier Johnson. “The plan is about safety, sustainability, and most importantly, it is about shaping the future of our streets with and for the people who use them every day.”
“414 in Motion gives us a unique opportunity to reimagine our streets as shared public spaces that work for everyone,” said Department of Public Works Commissioner Jerrel Kruschke. “Through data, thoughtful planning, and meaningful community input, we can build a more connected and inclusive transportation system for Milwaukee’s future.”
414 in Motion will be formally adopted into the City’s Comprehensive Plan, where it will guide future transportation decisions and investments for years to come.
Milwaukee’s streets are used by everyone, which is why community input is central to 414 in Motion. The City is committed to making sure the plan reflects the real needs and priorities of the people who live, work, and travel throughout Milwaukee’s neighborhoods.
The public engagement process will take place in four phases and will include community workshops, pop-up events, meetings with advisory groups, and online engagement opportunities. Whether Milwaukeeans have five minutes or fifty, there is a way to participate.
The City is kicking off the first phase of engagement by inviting the public to take an online survey to share how they move through Milwaukee and what their priorities are for improving and investing in Milwaukee’s streets. 414 en Movimiento utiliza un proceso de planificación basado en datos y guiado por la comunidad para establecer una visión del futuro de la movilidad en Milwaukee. Ya sea que camines, andes en bicicleta, manejes, tomes el autobús o te desplaces en dos ruedas, el plan buscará mejorar la forma en que todas las personas se mueven por la ciudad. 414 en Movimiento identificará políticas clave, definirá prioridades de inversión y recomendará proyectos de infraestructura transformadores que apoyen una ciudad más segura, accesible y conectada.

La Ciudad da inicio a la primera fase del proceso invitando al público a participar en una encuesta en línea para compartir cómo se desplazan por Milwaukee y cuáles son sus prioridades para mejorar e invertir en las calles de la ciudad.
