Every Wednesday at noon, Ryan Schleicher, Evan Rytlewski, and Matt Wild take to the WMSE airwaves to discuss all things Milwaukee. This half-hour fun-fest is called The Disclaimer, so named because none of the oft-ridiculous views expressed on the show necessarily reflect the views of the hosts’ employers. Milwaukee music, Milwaukee art, Milwaukee events, and D.I.Y. lawn care tips are frequently discussed—and rarely agreed upon. The Disclaimer: Talk radio for the sane.

Tuesday night, Summerfest unveiled its massive list of 2017 grounds stage headliners. It’s an especially Summerfest-y Summerfest lineup—Atmosphere, Spin Doctors, and Hanson? You bet. Steve Miller Band, The Shins, and T-Pain? Why not?—though the way in which the Big Gig went about the announcement was a bit different. Not only was the lineup revealed with the help of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the accompanying poster recalls the designs of other summer festivals like Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza. So is Summerfest finally positioning itself as a “national” festival? And is it enough to simply be the “World’s Largest Music Festival”? Ryan, Evan, and Matt slip on some cargo shorts, stand high atop the picnic tables that are the WMSE airwaves, and discuss.
