Fact #1: Summer is approximately 8,000 years away. Fact #2: Nothing makes us pine for summer more than summer concert announcements—especially good ones. So while we wait for that inevitable “Weird Al” Summerfest announcement, we’re happy to announce that Milwaukee’s own Violent Femmes will play the BMO Harris Pavilion Saturday, June 13. Yeah, Barenaked Ladies and Colin Hay are playing, too, and fine, Barenaked Ladies are headlining, but still. Violent Femmes!

The show is part of the Ladies’ “Last Summer on Earth Tour,” and the first 2015 BMO Harris Pavilion production for the Pabst Theater Group and Milwaukee World Festival. Expect a warm hometown welcome for Gordon Gano, Brian Ritchie, and whoever they have drumming for them these days, as well as plenty of snickers when Barenaked Ladies inevitably do that “IT’S BEEN…” song. And Colin Hay.

Tickets are $39.50 for lower and upper bowl reserved seats, $29.50 for rear standing room, and $75.50 for “Gold Circle” reserved seats. All tickets will include the new Barenaked Ladies album download (due for release summer 2015), as well as an “instant grat track.” Tickets go on sale Saturday, February 21 at noon.
